El Libro Blanco de la Profesión Docente y su Entorno Escolar: La raíz del cambio es el propio centro (The White Paper on the Teaching Profession and its School Environment: The root of change is the school itself)

 

¡Hola a todos de nuevo!

El otro día en clase estuvimos tratando con el "Libro Blanco de la Profesión Docente y su Entorno Escolar". Pero antes de hablar un poco de lo que debatimos en clase, ¿qué es un libro blanco? Pues bien, un libro blanco es un documento que explica en profundidad cualquier tema de interés para un público objetivo. Este documento es emitido por el gobierno o una empresa especializada. Su objetivo es educar al lector y son objetivos, formales y detallados entre otras características. 

A pesar de existir muchos libros blancos que tratan distintos temas, nosotros nos centramos en el de la profesión docente y su entorno escolar, ya que es nuestra área de especialización. En este libro blanco, había muchas propuestas y a nuestro grupo nos tocó hablar de la decimonovena propuesta. Esta propuesta se centraba en el centro educativo como el centro o protagonista para su propia transformación. Tener un grupo de docentes activo y que busque los cambios necesarios a las nuevas necesidades nace de un centro que apoye estos proyectos y automotive a todos sus componentes. Además, las Administraciones Públicas deben ayudar con estos proyectos para que el centro pueda evolucionar. Un centro que renueve y tenga a docentes que se impliquen puede llegar a conseguir cambios significativos.

 

Uno de mis compañeros nos contó un ejemplo que me pareció muy interesante y es que, en el instituto "IES Zorrilla" había muchos alumnos que practicaban natación de manera profesional, y antes tenían que desplazarse a un gimnasio o centro para entrenar levantándose muy pronto para luego poder llegar a clase todas las mañanas. Ante esto, el instituto decidió incluir una piscina en sus instalaciones para que así, todos estos alumnos no tengan que hacer ese esfuerzo de desplazamiento y puedan entrenar en el propio instituto para que luego sea mucho más cómodo y eficiente el ir a clase. 

Esto es un claro ejemplo de un cambio en el centro educativo que se adapta a las necesidades de sus alumnos y que, con la ayuda de las Administraciones Públicas, realizan este proyecto para la mejora del centro. 

En conclusión, creo que esta propuesta es muy interesante, ya que toma el propio centro como base para los cambios y adaptaciones necesarias. La realización de proyectos que motiven y faciliten la docencia hace que el centro mejore y se hagan mejoras en el sistema. Está claro que no todos los centros tienen las mismas facilidades, pero es cuestión de la Administración Pública ofrecer ayuda y apoyar esta clase de proyectos, ya que la finalidad común es la misma: garantizar una educación de calidad a todo el mundo.

Hello everyone again!

The other day in class we were dealing with the "White Paper on the Teaching Profession and its School Environment". But before we talk a bit about what we discussed in class, what is a white paper? Well, a white paper is a document that explains in depth any topic of interest to a target audience. This document is issued by the government or a specialized company. They are intended to educate the reader and are objective, formal and detailed among other characteristics.

Although there are many white papers dealing with different topics, we focused on the teaching profession and its school environment, as this is our area of expertise. In this white paper, there were many proposals and it was our group's turn to talk about the nineteenth proposal. This proposal focused on the school as the center or protagonist for its own transformation. Having an active group of teachers who seek the necessary changes to meet the new needs arises from a center that supports these projects and automotive to all its components. In addition, the Public Administrations must help with these projects so that the center can evolve. A center that renews and has teachers who are involved can achieve significant changes.

One of my colleagues told us an example that I found very interesting and that is that, in the institute "IES Zorrilla" there were many students who practiced swimming professionally, and before they had to travel to a gym or center to train getting up very early to then be able to get to class every morning. Faced with this, the school decided to include a swimming pool in its facilities so that all these students do not have to make that effort to travel and can train in the school itself so that it is much more comfortable and efficient to go to class. 

This is a clear example of a change in the educational center that adapts to the needs of its students and that, with the help of the Public Administrations, carries out this project for the improvement of the center.

In conclusion, I believe that this proposal is very interesting, since it takes the center itself as the basis for the necessary changes and adaptations. The realization of projects that motivate and facilitate teaching makes the center improve and improvements are made in the system. It is clear that not all the centers have the same facilities, but it is a matter of the Public Administration to offer help and support this kind of projects, since the common purpose is the same: to guarantee a quality education to everyone.
